The HTC Vivid is one of the first 4G LTE capable smart phones and is built to work. The body of the phone is 5.07 by 2.64 by 0.44 inches and weighs 6.24 ounces. While this may seem heavy, you can blame the weight on the reinforced steel back, a feature provided so the phone holds up better to day-to-day tasks. The 4.5 inch qHD S-LCD display is beyond words. The 540×960 pixel resolution results in 245 ppi, which means fantastic graphics and deep colors. Lines are crisp and clean, which is important for texts, emails and web browsing. The Vivid has Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread and a Qualcomm APP8060 dual core 1.2GHz. The Vivid is also a world-ready phone.
As far as web browsing is concerned, even in areas that do not have 4G LTE yet, the phone still runs on 4G HSPA+ speeds, which are extremely fast and reliable. Download apps, music, movies, documents or just browse the web and get what you need in seconds. The Vivid has 16GB of internal storage with an external memory slot capable of supporting up to a 32GB card. That gives you plenty of room for anything you need. Or you can fill up the memory with pictures taken with the 8-megapixel camera. Colors show up very realistic and detail is captured without any problem. Don’t worry about blurry pictures anymore – HTC made sure the autofocus was one of the best. Apply one of twelve photo modes to switch it up a little. Capture a video with the 1080p HD video capture and rest assured it’ll look fantastic when you show it later on your HD TV.

It also has a 5 megapixel camera with flash and 720p HD video capture that takes sharp and detailed pictures. Running the show is a 1GHz Snapdragon processor that is very effective at running 2 screens with ease. The 1500mAh battery does have a smaller battery life than other phones about the same level, however, it is running two screens simultaneously, so the battery life is expected to be less than optimal. It does last 3.5 hours of talk time and 280 hours of standby time, which should last most of the day. The Doubleplay is also a world-ready phone, so you can multitask to your hearts content, anywhere in the world.

The HTC Amaze 4G is one of the best smart phones available to date. The screen is a 4.3 inches qHD Super LCD, the absolute best screen available.
